Services
ISSEW has several regular activities during the year. Presently all of these are held in the Albanian American Islamic Center in Kenosha.
A) Annoor Academy Sunday school:
The school is held during the academic year from mid September through mid May.
Classes are structured according to child's age and knowledge of Islam.
Boys and Girls starting age 6 and above are welcome to attend.
B) Potluck dinners:
This is an opportunity to socialize with people in the community
In Ramadhan there is Iftaar dinner every weekend
During the summer months there are community picnics in a park.
C) Funeral Home
This includes all of the support provided by the funeral home, such as receiving and transporting the deceased, offering a peaceful space for family gatherings, managing the necessary paperwork, and guiding families through the process with care and dignity.
D) Final Preparation
This covers the respectful preparation of the deceased before burial. It may include washing, shrouding, grooming, dressing, and ensuring the body is prepared according to religious and cultural requirements especially ghusl and kafan.
E) Burial Service
This includes all arrangements made at the cemetery, organizing the janazah prayer, tadfeen (placing the body in it’s final resting place), and ensuring the burial is performed according to proper rites and rituals.
